Watermark Removal Feature Usage Rules

In compliance with applicable laws and regulations, for content generated by MiniMax Code's artificial intelligence services (hereinafter referred to as "Output Content"), we will add AI-generated content identifiers (including explicit and implicit identifiers) to such Output Content as required by law.

Before you request us to provide Output Content without explicit identifiers (hereinafter also referred to as "watermarks"), i.e., before you use the "Watermark Removal" feature ("this Feature"), please carefully read and fully understand these rules. You may only use this Feature if you acknowledge, agree to, and comply with the following:

I. Identification of AI-generated content

Under applicable laws and regulations, AI-generated content must carry an explicit “AI-generated” watermark when it is publicly disseminated online.

  1. All content generated on this platform carries an “AI-generated” watermark by default, satisfying the compliance requirements for public dissemination.
  2. If you use the content solely for local learning, collection, internal research, or other non-public scenarios, you may choose to turn off the watermark;
  3. You acknowledge and undertake that if you use watermark-free content in any online public dissemination scenario, you must proactively declare that it is “AI-generated” and use the identification feature provided by the dissemination platform to label it.

II. Content usage requirements

Regardless of whether you use generated content locally or disseminate it publicly, you must strictly comply with national laws and regulations, public order, and good morals; you must not infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of others, including intellectual property rights, portrait rights, reputation rights, and privacy rights; and you must not use this service to engage in any illegal or criminal activities.

You must use generated content for lawful and compliant purposes and must not generate, publish, or distribute content prohibited by laws and administrative regulations, including content that incites subversion of state power, overthrow of the socialist system, endangers national security and interests, damages national image, incites separatism, undermines national unity and social stability, promotes terrorism or extremism, promotes ethnic hatred or discrimination, violence, obscenity or pornography, or false and harmful information.

III. Liability

If you use generated content for illegal or non-compliant purposes, or fail to fulfill your obligation to identify AI-generated content, you shall bear all resulting consequences and liabilities.

IV. Other usage rules

  1. The “watermark” that you may request to remove under this Feature specifically refers to explicit identifiers within the visual content of the Output Content (such as watermarks containing “AI-generated” text). We reserve the right to retain implicit identifiers such as metadata in the Output Content you download. Furthermore, you shall not obscure, erase, delete, alter, forge, or conceal any identifiers we have added to the content in any manner.
  2. While using this Feature, you should continuously follow and comply with these rules, the MiniMax Terms of Service, MiniMax Privacy Policy, and other applicable provisions, to jointly create and maintain a healthy online environment and product ecosystem.
